Today from CST Group we want to talk about certain points to take into account when transporting ceramics<\/strong> to different countries.<\/p>\n

Ceramics is used as a material for different utilitarian and decorative purposes, and ceramics from Spain, due to its historical quality, becomes one of the first exports of the country to different parts of the world<\/strong>. Specifically, the pottery from Castell\u00f3n is really famous, so there is a high number of transport routes of this material from this point of the peninsula to various parts of the world.<\/p>\n

In this post, we explain, among other things, who are the countries that most demand this material and how to transport ceramics safely, so that your goods arrive in perfect condition at their destination.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Importing countries of Spanish ceramics<\/span><\/h2>\n

Spanish ceramics, whether in the form of tiles, bricks or even in the form of functional or decorative elements, are in great demand in different countries, and can be transported by land, sea or air.<\/p>\n

    <\/span>Transporting ceramics safely<\/span><\/h2>\n

    When we talk about transporting goods as fragile as ceramics, we have to take into account different factors to ensure the same during the journey and thus avoid damage and breakage on arrival at its destination.<\/p>\n

    CST Grupo, due to its long experience in the transport of this type of materials, has managed to specialise over the years in the transport of ceramics. This means that we take all the necessary measures to ensure that the shipment is carried out correctly and that the goods arrive in perfect condition. We would also like to remind you that our company is very committed to the agreed dates and deadlines in order to comply with the established schedule<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Particularities of the packaging according to the type of ceramics<\/h3>\n

    We pack ceramics in corrugated cardboard boxes, as this material is the strongest and offers the best protection for the goods. In general, most ceramic tiles can be placed vertically<\/strong>, one on top of the other, as it is the product itself that supports the weight and not the cardboard box. In this way, several boxes can be transported without risk.<\/p>\n

    However, we must bear in mind that some more fragile ceramic products should be placed horizontally<\/strong>, grouping no more than two levels of boxes together to significantly reduce the weight. An example would be decorative or functional items, such as vases or decorative figures.<\/p>\n

    Palletising and stowage: Essential for the transport of ceramics<\/h3>\n

    Each pallet must not support more than 1,200 kilograms so as not to damage the structure and compromise the safety of the load. IMPORTANT<\/strong>: This limit is essential for the transport of ceramics. On the other hand, do not store in humid environments, check its integrity (no loose boards or nails) and do not damage the pallet or platform; these are safety measures that must be checked before making the journey.<\/p>\n

    For the stowage of ceramic products, the boxes should be placed with the product in a vertical direction. The precautions to be taken into account, such as keeping the top upwards at all times, should always be indicated by means of the corresponding labelling. When stacking ceramics, it is advisable to cross the boxes, thus achieving greater stability and minimising the risk of breakage.<\/p>\n

    To be taken into account when loading ceramics<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Check the maximum height of the container so as not to damage the product.<\/li>\n
    • Ensure that the pallets are placed symmetrically.<\/li>\n
    • Secure the pallets with ropes to prevent sudden movements during the journey.<\/li>\n
    • Place the heaviest and most resistant loads on the lower levels and the lightest and least resistant on the upper levels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
